BRAIN AWAKE spotlight

This week, we have two BA SPOTLIGHTS!

One is on the 2017 Deleware Teacher of the Year, Wendy Turner.  She is an encourager in her community and often shares SEL resources to support teachers all over.  The other spotlight is on the most genuine and thoughtful yoga mom, Jessica Mougis.  Jessica believes the world can be better when all children are exposed to the powerful practice of yoga.  She reaches this goal through kids yoga and her podcast!

Do you know someone who deserves to be featured on the next BA SPOTLIGHT?

Community Questions

How do I ask a new question?

Fill out the "Reach out!" form in the community section of our page. We can't wait to hear from you.

What is the appropriate age range for Brain Awakes?

Brain Awakes is developmentally appropriate for children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. Even though the target audience is young children, many adults and older siblings find empowerment in the practices.

Does each activity actually take less than five minutes?

Yes! Each activity should take less than five minutes with your children; however, the reflection section will often provoke collaboration and curiosity past the five minute mark.

I only have one child. Will Brain Awakes still work for me?

Between you and your child, you should be able to accomplish almost every actvitiy found in Brain Awakes. There are a couple of activities that encourage group collaboration of 4, but these can be easily adapted without losing the social-emotional growth.
